X RAYS
We have the latest Eklin digital x-ray machine which will help us to provide the best possible care to your horse. Digital radiology provides superior quality and more detailed accurate assessment of radiographs. In addition it has the enormous benefit of allowing instantaneous viewing which means a more complete examination can be done immediately, giving a faster diagnosis thus allowing earlier treatment.
Other benefits are that images can be saved emailed for referral or burnt to disk for a client copy. Images can be viewed together, compared to previous images and distances/angles can be accurately measured. All horses are sedated to be radiographed as the Eklin Digital X-ray machine is quite expensive and has fragile parts. It is preferable that radiographs to be taken by the digital machine are done so at the clinic as a clean, quiet, safe working environment is required. However, the machine is portable therefore when necessary we can come to you, as long as you have a reliable power source and adequate cover |
